Simple chocolate cupcakes
These simple homemade chocolate cupcakes are moist, soft, and so yummy they will just melt in your mouth.
Topped with a classic chocolate butter cream frosting these cupcakes are super delicious and rich.

Ingredients
Chocolate Cupcakes

all-purpose flour

white granulated sugar

Chocolate buttercream frosting
200
grams
salted butter

icing sugar
powder sugar

cocoa powder

Instructions
Preheat oven to 160°C / 320°F
Line muffin pans with cupcake liners. This recipe will make 18 -20 cupcakes
Chocolate Cupcakes
Add dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix.
To the dry ingredients add the eggs, oil, vanilla, and milk
Mix well with a hand whisk or electric beater on low until combined.
Scrape down the sides of your bowl and then slowly beat in the hot water.
Full cupcake liners ¾ of the way.
Bake for 18-20 minutes
Rest for 5 minutes then tune out on to a wire rack to cool.
Chocolate buttercream frosting
Beat butter until light and creamy.
Add the vanilla, cocoa and 2 cup of icing sugar and beat on low speed for 30 seconds while adding 3 tablespoons of the cream.
Beat on high speed for 2 minutes
Add the other ½ cup of icing sugar as need to get a good piping consistency or add more cream if needed.
